SHINING THE LIGHT
In Nova Scotia we see many lighthouses along the shore. They are a fresh reminder of Peter's words when he challenged his listeners to "take heed" to the Word of God "as unto a light that shineth in a dark place." A few years ago, a camper said to his counselor, "Who is God? Does He live around here?" The counselor shined the light of truth before him, and he received Christ as his Savior during that week of camp.
Recently I gave a testimony tract to a man working on my house. The next day he said, that person "seems fulfilled." I asked him if he had ever read the Bible. He said, "I used to when I was young." The man had to leave, but it was an opportunity to shine a little light on that man's life as he sits in darkness. We cannot stop giving THE LIGHT to people who need to know that God is real and the He loves them. Please pray that the churches in NS without pastors will keep "the light" on and trust the Lord to bring a shepherd to their flock.
MISSION TEAMS AT FOREST GLEN BIBLE CAMP
We had another exciting summer! Eight mission teams from North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, and South Carolina worked alongside Canadians at Forest Glen Bible Camp to help with new construction, improvements, and/or participated in our Youth Missions Summit. This program provides an opportunity for teens to be trained for outreach ministry among the churches in Nova Scotia. Praise the Lord for the souls saved through their efforts.
