Dear Pastor and Church Family,
WOW!!! What a great God we have. Moving in itself is a stressful feat. Driving your entire family and pulling a trailer with some of your belongings 2500 miles to another country is a feat only to be attempted with the guidance of God! We had many worries as we left Jacksonville, Florida. The first of which was whether our van could pull our 6 x12 trailer. Our van did not make it. However, God took care of that and allowed us to get the vehicle we needed.
Going across the border with all of your "ducks in a row" is a non-negotiable. Because of our change in vehicle, the only thing we had in a row was our family as we waited in the immigration line. We were nervous and scared but God was in control. We passed through the immigration office with flying colors. Thanks to your prayers!
We were lost in Reynosa, Mexico and trying to find our way south. We were stopped by a corrupt police officer who wanted a bribe. God can even use the bad for our good as the officer pointed out the route we needed! We were stopped at checkpoints on several occasions on the way down and feared they would make us unload everything. It was a tense time for us, but it wasnメt even an afterthought for God. We passed through them all without unloading anything. We worried about getting lost on the way down (Mexican maps are not too thorough). God directed us to seek out the taxi drivers whenever we were unsure and they were right every time. What a great God we serve!
We have been living in our new house for almost 2 weeks now. We know that God brought us to the right place at the right time and we are thankful! We have met a few of our neighbors and are excited about taking them some cookies and tracts before Christmas.
Although we do not have all of our suggested support we are confident this matter will be resolved as well. Please pray for our health and well being as we adjust to this new country. Our daughter Jessica has had an allergic reaction to some kind of bug bite and I hit my head on a metal ceiling fan (moving at full speed) while painting our kitchen. Ouch! Pray that I do not get any infection from this wound. We are so grateful for your prayers and faithful support. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Your Friends,
The Millers
